Petstock opens two new stores, pushes network over 250 sites

Petstock has opened two new stores in Frankston and on the Sunshine Coast, extending its ANZ network to over 250 stores.

The Australian, family-owned pet retailer marked the openings of Petstock Aura and Petstock Frankston with grand opening events on Saturday 12 September, running from 10am to 2pm at both locations.

Petstock Aura sits within the Aura Home & Life Centre at Baringa on the Sunshine Coast, while Petstock Frankston is located on McMahons Road in Melbourne’s south-east. Both stores combine everyday pet essentials with in-store services including grooming, puppy school, DIY dog wash, pet adoption, pet ID tags and water testing.

The Frankston opening included 20 per cent off almost everything, free DIY dog washes, an animal farm, popcorn and an adoption event, with the store also partnering with Rocky Roads Cat Rescue to help connect local families with pets in need of homes.

At Aura, celebrations were folded into the broader Aura Home & Life Centre community opening day, with the same 20 per cent storewide discount, free dog washes and family entertainment on offer.

The new stores extend Petstock’s national network past 250 locations across Australia and New Zealand. The retailer, founded in 2002 by brothers David and Shane Young, offers veterinary services, grooming, puppy school, dog daycare and adoption alongside its retail offering, and was named Australia’s most satisfying pet store by Canstar Blue in 2025.
